Google Classroom

Below is a link and invite code to my google classroom. The assignments that you see below are all a smart part of an American Revolution unit for the classroom. These assignments will have students watch an introduction video to get them started on the topic. After that students will also have a video assignment where they will watch a video that walks them through a more in depth description of the American Revolution followed with some questions that align with the video. Also, students will complete a reading quiz where students have to read an article online and complete a quiz based on the information from the article. Lastly, there is a class question where students can argue who they believed played the biggest role in the American Revolution and using a source to defend their argument.

Caregiver Form:

Above is a screenshot from my caregiver form that I send to parents to get information on their students but also on the caregiver themselves. This form allows me as the teach to help build report with the parents of my students so they are aware that I do take my job seriously and that I care about each and everyone of my students. This survey allows me to better understand different ways that I can better accommodated for my students so they are successful. Not only that, this allows me to encourage parents to be involved with their students education. I can get a lot of information from this one survey that can help contact the parent and also help me educate their student.

Google Slides Presentation

Attached is a link to a google slide presentation over the American Revolution and also a screenshot of it as well. By clicking the hyper link one will be able to follow and and see what a slide show that I would use in my class would look like. This would be perfect for a smart board that we can use markers on, and also if needed can be used online as well for my students to follow along as we go through the American Revolution. In the lesson their is a pre assessment portion, the lesson, some practice, and also an assignment for students to complete to show their knowledge. The lesson also aligns with the Ohio Social Studies Learning Standards to ensure that the students are receiving the education that they need!

Screencastify

Attached is the link to my screencastify for the my lesson on the American Revolution. In this hyperlink one will be able to watch how I would go about teaching an online lesson. In this lesson I follow the slideshow that is listed above and run through how I would go about teaching it. Within the lesson there are a few interactive portions for a small pre assessment, then there is the chunk of the lesson which is the content, followed by some practice and an assignment students can complete to put their knowledge to the test. This is just a small and quick example of a lesson that could be done online either with it be doing live over google meets or as a pre recorded lesson.
